The line score reads Indiana 112, Portland 98, but that understates the control Clark had over the game. She finished 26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, with two threes and two steals, becoming just the fifth player in WNBA history to record a 25-plus point triple-double. That is not a box score you round down.
Kelsey Mitchell matched her at 26 points with four threes, and in the process passed Tina Thompson for sixth place on the WNBA's all-time three-pointers made list. Two players at 26 on the same night, and the Fever are still only the secondary story because Clark's stat line existed.
The game was genuinely tight into the final three minutes, Portland trailing 100-93 with 2:37 left. Bridget Carleton gave Portland life with 6-of-9 shooting on long-range jumpers and eventually finished with 26 points of her own. This was not a blowout from wire to wire. Indiana closed it out, which is what good teams do, but Portland made them work for it.

Indiana versus Minnesota is the most interesting number on the board. The Lynx are 24-6, 15-1 in conference, the best record in the league. The Fever arrive on a five-game win streak with the most explosive offense in the sport right now. Minnesota is the right favorite. Whether they are the right price is the question I will be digging on Saturday. That spread is going to reflect Fever momentum against Lynx dominance, and those two forces are genuinely in tension. Mind the gap like it owes you money when you see a number that looks too clean on a game this complicated.
Connecticut at Dallas is the most lopsided matchup on the board. The Sun are 7-22 and sliding through a four-game losing streak. The Wings are 18-11 at home in conference play. The Sun's record is what it is, and four straight losses heading into a road game against a playoff-caliber opponent is a hard spot. No qualifying play from me yet, but that line deserves attention once it posts.
Toronto at Golden State: the Tempo are skidding through five straight losses. The Valkyries are 19-9. That is a lot of losing momentum walking into a tough building.

The Minnesota line when it opens Saturday. The Fever are the hottest team in the league right now. The Lynx are the best team. Someone is going to be wrong about the number, and I want to be on the right side of that conversation before the market settles.
