  1. New York Liberty @ Dallas Wings (8:10 PM ET). Dallas has won six straight and sits at 17-8. New York is a compromised team right now: Satou Sabally's season is already in rough shape and the injury updates from the front office aren't filling anyone with confidence. The big news that broke this afternoon is that Paige Bueckers is out tonight after a collision Sunday. No concussion, the team confirmed, which is genuinely the best possible version of a bad situation. But Bueckers out is a real subtraction. The question is whether the line has already priced a Bueckers-less Wings into a number that reflects the absence correctly, or whether the market moved too fast and left value on the wrong side. What turns this into a play: a closing number that hasn't fully digested the Wings losing their most efficient offensive action against a Liberty team that is still short-handed.
  1. Minnesota Lynx @ Seattle Storm (10:00 PM ET). Minnesota is 20-6, holding the top spot in the league, and has won five straight. That's the kind of form you respect on paper and then immediately ask: how are they traveling, who played big minutes in the last two games, and is the late tip on a Monday against a Pacific time zone opponent a spot where the chalk fades a little? I don't have a number on this yet that I love, but the Lynx are the team I want to fade when the spot is soft. Not tonight necessarily. But I'm watching.
  1. Washington Mystics @ Golden State Valkyries (10:00 PM ET). The Valkyries sit one game back of Minnesota at No. 2 with a league-best nine-game winning streak. Washington is a different kind of conversation. A team on a nine-game run at home late is a chalk price, and chalk prices require work to justify. What I want to see: where does the total sit, and does it respect Golden State's defensive pace? Win streaks this long in the WNBA are a tell about roster depth and home-court rhythm. What turns this into a play: a total or a spread that is pricing the Mystics as more competitive than the last three weeks of tape suggests.
  1. Connecticut Sun @ Indiana Fever (Wed, Jul 22, 8:00 PM ET). Not tonight, but this is the one I keep coming back to. Aliyah Boston is out again, her third missed game, leaving Indiana thin in the paint against a Sun team that will want to work inside. And then there is the Caitlin Clark situation: 45 points in her last big outing, AP honors, and a minutes restriction that coach Stephanie White declined to explain ahead of the Sun game specifically. That's a tell. The market will price Clark's presence. If her minutes are capped, the Fever's ceiling drops in a way that a casual line might not catch. I don't have the number yet and I won't pretend to. But I'm circling this one.

The One I Lean On Most

The Fever-Sun game on Wednesday is where I'm spending the most mental energy. Not a play, not yet, a lean. If Boston remains out and the reporting before tip suggests Clark's minutes are genuinely limited again, Indiana getting points at home becomes an interesting conversation. The Sun can exploit that paint absence, and Clark alone, with a leash on her minutes, may not be enough to cover the gap. I want to see the number and the Clark status before I go anywhere near it.

Bueckers' status for Wednesday. Clark's minutes going into the Sun game. And whether the Valkyries' nine-game streak has a number underneath it that finally makes them beatable on the board. This is a growth market, and the edges in the WNBA are real, they just require patience and a clean number. Nothing has cleared today.
