Fine. The interesting part is not the stillness, it is what the number is leaning on.
De-vig the two-way price and Golden State comes out around 66 percent to win the game. Kalshi and Polymarket both have the Valkyries at 68. So the prediction crowd is a tick heavier on the home side than the sportsbook price is, which is the opposite of the usual tell where the venues talk the chalk down. Small gap, but it points one direction, and -5.5 is right about where a 66 percent home favorite belongs.
Now the part that made me sit up. Golden State is 24-9 overall and 9-6 inside the Western Conference. Dallas is 20-15 overall and 8-8 in the West. Read those two lines next to each other.

The Valkyries have built the shiny record largely outside their own conference, 15-3 in those games. Against the West they are a .600 team. Dallas is .500 there. That is a much narrower gap than a five and a half point spread and a 66 percent price want you to believe, and it is the whole reason I have this game closer to a field goal than a full possession-and-a-half.
The honest caveat, because it is a real one: these are 15 and 16 game buckets, schedules inside a conference are not evenly distributed, and I do not have home and road splits in front of me this morning. Golden State's floor is worth something and I am not going to pretend otherwise. This is a lean, not a play.
What turns it into one: Dallas at +6 or better, or word out of Golden State on Monday afternoon about anyone missing time. Absent either, mind the gap like it owes you money and let the number come to you.
