Roki Sasaki is going on the injured list with a blister on his right middle finger after exiting Wednesday's start against Atlanta, and this piece of Los Angeles Dodgers injury news already paid for itself on the board. Our number had the Dodgers at -117 when it opened. They sit at +102 now. That is nineteen cents of walk on a road favorite, overnight, before anybody has thrown a pitch in tonight's 7:16 ET finale in Atlanta.
Here is what the market is actually pricing, because it is two things, not one. There is the rotation hole going forward. And there is the immediate one: a starter who leaves his outing early hands the rest of those innings to the bullpen, and bullpen innings spent Wednesday are bullpen innings unavailable Thursday. The finale is the game where that bill comes due.

Notice Atlanta did not move. Held at -104 flat while the Dodgers bled a full pick's worth of price. That is not the Braves getting better overnight, that is the market taking value off Los Angeles and pocketing it. Prediction venues have it near a coin flip, Kalshi 51 percent on the Dodgers, Polymarket 49.
Now the part I keep chewing on. The total came down, 7.5 to 7, with an under available at 6.5 at another shop. You would expect a shorthanded pen to push a total up, not drag it half a run down. Either the market likes whoever Atlanta runs out there tonight, or it is not buying the bullpen-game panic at all. That divergence is a tell, and I do not yet know which way it points, because I do not have tonight's probables in front of me. If Los Angeles announces a bullpen game and the total still sits at 7, the money is telling you something the headline is not.
What I'm watching: the total between now and first pitch, and the severity language on the blister. A skin issue and a finger issue are different animals for a pitcher's season.
Nothing cleared my number at -104 on the Braves side. Small edges over and over, no heroics, and this one is not one of them yet. Bet what you can afford to lose, 21+ where legal.
