Gerrit Cole got chased early and said afterward that the answers eluded him, that he needs to start making adjustments. When one of the most cerebral pitchers in the sport tells you he doesn't have it figured out, that's a tell, and it is one worth carrying into every Cole start the rest of the way rather than spending on one Sunday number.
