  1. Anthony Richardson as Indy's QB2. He was named the backup and said he's grateful, no leaks, no simmering. That's a tell about a functioning room, not a broken one. It matters two ways: whether he has a designed package near the goal line, and what the Colts' whole offensive profile looks like if the QB1 misses time. What turns this into a play: confirmation that a package exists, or doesn't.
  1. Seattle under the Khoslas. The sale from Paul Allen's estate to the Khosla group closed, a record purchase. I want to be clear about what I do with that: nothing. New owners don't block linebackers. checked the almanac: Allen bought the club in 1997 and the practical effect on Sundays showed up in draft picks and hires, not in the standings that year. What I'm watching is the front office, not the wire photo of the handshake.

The one I lean on

Skattebo. Not a play, a lean, and I want the distinction to stay sharp. My instinct is that his early-season usage runs lighter than his rookie profile suggests, because ankles that require that kind of repair tend to get managed by cautious coaching staffs, and cautious is the default setting in September. If a volume number shows up built on last year's version of him, that's the side I'd be leaning. I need to see him move first. Until then it's a note, not a number.
