The reporting says the Sparks made a head coaching change, which means one of the league's founding franchises begins a search while everyone else begins a postseason. That is the WNBA in 2026 in one image: the top of the sport has never been more crowded, and the price of missing the field has never felt steeper.
And the league is being watched like never before.
