The Tigers' roster tension is real. If Skubal is confirmed out of the rotation or if a rental arm takes the ball, the Orioles' run-line price is the first thing I check.
  1. Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets (postponed, doubleheader Wednesday). Two games in one day reshapes everything. Bullpen usage, lineup construction, starter length. The second game of a doubleheader is historically a soft spot for the team playing worse bullpen baseball entering the week. I will know a lot more Wednesday morning. Right now I am just circling it.
  1. Seattle Mariners @ Los Angeles Dodgers (10:11 PM ET). Late West Coast slate, thin public action, and the Dodgers are the kind of chalk that gets inflated just by being the Dodgers. I want to see the pitching matchup confirmed and the line settle before I have an opinion. But a Mariners team that can pitch to contact against an inflated number is worth a look if the spread feels like it is paying for the uniform more than the lineup.
  1. Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals (7:46 PM ET). Division game, late-July stakes difference between these two clubs, and the Cardinals have been a soft sell at home when the number is short. Not a play. A watch. The Cubs' run-prevention has been credible enough that I want to see if the total looks right before first pitch.

The One I Lean On Most

If I had to pick one to watch closest tonight, it is Detroit. The Skubal trade noise is a genuine board-mover in waiting. The moment a deal gets done, or the moment it officially does not, the Tigers' value in the remaining schedule shifts hard. That is the kind of information that moves a line faster than it should. Mind the gap like it owes you money.
